Education

I attended American River Collage part time after three years in the U.S. Army. I also attended the Fire Academy for American River Fire District.

Love Life

In 1976 I met my wife, Joan Fenner and was married in December of that year. Joan is from Elk Grove and went to Elk Grove High. We have been together for 24 years, so it looks like we will be together for another 24 years. Joanie as I and the family call her has been my back bone. She always there when I need her, she been the best thing that ever happen to me. We have three great childern Trisha age 22, Vickie age 21, Richard Jr. age 18. All three of childern went to Rio Linda High. Richard will be in the Class of 2001, Vickie was in the Class 98, Trisha was in the Highland's Class of 96.

Employment

Went in U.S. Army right out of high school. Was in for three years, and join the Army Reserve for another 20 yrs. I drove truck for A-1 Door for about 7 yrs. Then I work for Sacramento County for 6 yrs. I currently work for American River Fire District soon to be Sacramento Metro Fire District, as a Firefighter.

Activities

I love being around my family as much, as can. So we have always done things as a family when possible. I also enjoy hunting and fishing with my son, camping with the family. I been attending a lot of high school football these past few years. Vickie was a cheerleader at Rio Linda, and Richard Jr. has been playing football for Rio linda.

Accomplishments

I think my greatest accomplishment has been my family. Then my 23 yrs. with U.S. Army.

Residence

Beside 2 1/2 years in Berlin, Germany the rest of my life has been in Rio Linda. I might even move alway from here one day who knows.
