Education
In 1972 I went through basic training and advanced infantry training at
Ft. Ord Ca. In 1973 I went to Technical Army Maintenance Management
School.In Ft. Lewis Wa. In 1974 I attended Non-Commisioned Officers
School. At Camp Casey Korea. 1975 through 1985 various classes, from
electronics to weight lifting. All of this at American River College,
Sierra College, and Sacramento State also Sacramento Army Depot. At the
Army Depot I also took computer classes, quality control school,
soldering and circuit board repair.
Love Life
Married and divorced twice then found the love of my life, Emily, in
Brownsville,Ca. I met her through my father who is now deceased. We
were married October 14,2000 here at our Community Church. A local
church where she teaches Sunday School. Between us we have two
daughters, Cheryl and Sasha. Two sons, Tim and Steve, and we have eight
grandchildren. We are all one really big family where we do not use the
designation "step".
Employment
1972 through 1975 United States Army. 1976 to 1980,I drove truck for
Butler and Johnson then trained Shasta Cola drivers to drive the new
deisel trucks. 1981, went to work Sacramento Army Depot. I worked on
everything from, radios, teletype, launching guidance computer systems,
to the Thomahawk Missile Guidance System. 1993, I went to work at
McClellan Air Force Base in the computer repair branch, setting up
parts data systems. Then I worked on survival radios used by Air Force
and Marine Pilots. I then went to work in the Firefinder Radar System.
Which is used in detecting incoming missiles and ballistics. While at
McClellan I started doing TDY'S for Space Command. Which has taken me
to remote sites in various locations in Europe, Asia and the United
States. Where I have worked on Satellite Tracking and Radar Systems.
Currently, I am working at Hill Air Force Base for the Department of
Defense. I am a member of a decommisioning crew for Space Command
working in various locations all over the world.
Activities
Due to extensive traveling in my job, I spend as much time as possible
with my wife and friends we have made here at Hill Air Force Base. My
wife and I are members of the Clearfield Community Church and involved
in various church functions. We both love animals and have two small
dogs we call our "kids".Weather permitting we enjoy taking scenic
drives with the "kids".
Accomplishments
I earned a black belt in the Korean Art of Self Defense. I was an
instructor in the Army, training G. I.'s in Tae-Kwon-Do. I also taught
English as a second language to ROK/Republic Of Korea Soldiers. I was
involved with the orphaned children of Asian/Americans in a local
orphanage while stationed in Korea.
