Rio Linda High School, various classes and courses the State offers.
Love Life
I married Gary Rainwater (Class of 71) in 1971. We divorced in 1987.
Enough said about that. I remarried in 1990 to a wonderful man, Carl
Rusher. I know, I know, everyone says that but I think the second time
around you are looking for different qualities than you did the first
time, at least I was, and we feel we were very fortunate to find each
other. I have two sons, Carl has a son and a daughter. Their ages
range from 25 to 29. We are very proud of them. We have six
grandchildren, three girls and three boys. I think grandkids are the
best thing going.
Employment
I started working with the State of California in 1990 with the
Department of Education. I started as an office assistant and when I
left State service I had just been promoted to executive assistant. I
took a one-year leave of absence in June of 96 to work as my husband's
secretary on a construction site in Iowa. With building completed we
returned to California and to State service in June 1997. I left State
service in March of 2000 and moved with my husband to Missouri. For
now I am on vacation.
Activities
Carl and I love to fish. Bass fishing is our favorite. Although we
have done our share of salmon, shark, and bat ray fishing. We have a
bass boat and we participate in a lot of partner bass tournaments. We
have fished all over the state of California and we have even fished
the Mississippi River. That was great. I caught my first Walleye
there. We shoot archery, and we also hunt. I still haven't gotten my
first deer yet, but I will. I have gotten a couple of turkeys.
(Really) I think turkey hunting is my favorite. I love sitting under
a tree calling them and having them answer you. I tried pheasant
hunting, but if its not standing still forget it. We have done
archery tournament shooting and archery hunting and we also bow fish.
(That's where the sharks and bat rays come in.) We've gone to Colorado
to elk hunt, and we have also deer hunted in Southern Missouri.
Residence
We have a piece of property in Cape Fair, Missouri, which we have
started a house on. (Southern Missouri, about 26 miles from Branson,
MO) We have lived in Seattle, WA, Dubuque, Iowa, Cedar Rapids, Iowa
and in Cape Fair, Missouri. All beautiful places.
