Education

I began my education with American River College, UC Davis, and Cal State Sacramento where I hold various certificates. I am now part of the graduating class of the University of Phoenix with a degree in Business Management.

Employment

During the past six years, Kurt, who is a General Contractor, and I have owned our business, K & G Construction, Inc. We renovate apartment and commercial buildings. We currently employ 10 people and numerous sub-contractors. Prior to our business I had been working in the field of Commercial Real Estate as a Business Manager for eight years.

Activities

We travel to Lake Tahoe, Napa and Mexico as often as we can get away. Our favorite spot so far is Cabo San Lucas.

My daughter and I are "spa snobs" (just a term) so to speak. We travel to various spas in the region on a semi-annual basis. Our favorite so far has been the Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa in Sonoma, which we have made many return trips to.

I am an active sponsor of the Sacramento Light Opera. We are season ticket holders of "our" Sacramento Kings and the Oakland Raiders! Kurt and I are sports enthusiasts. I spent years cycling and entering 5k runs and we were both amateur weight lifters. Now we manage our business and that keeps us very busy, not as fit, but busy none-the-less.

Residence

Kurt and I have a very comfortable home in East Roseville. We have been Roseville residents for the past 13 years.

Family

I have been married to Kurt since 1983. He is from Seaside, California and we met through my brother Randy Horrell.

I have two children, Christopher Anderson, 24 and Dawn Anderson, 23. Chris is in his final year at Cal State Sac with a major in Environmental Studies. Dawn is a 1998 graduate of Cal State Sac with a degree in Communications. Neither of my children is married or have kids.

My children are my life and are beautiful, smart, and very high achievers. My son played college baseball for years and my daughter was a swimmer on a national swim team in Roseville. She swam with our Olympic Gold Metalalist, Summer Sanders. I am very proud of their accomplishments.
