Subject: Rio Linda Class of 1971 Reunion Info - Update #10

Yes, it's yet another update for the Class of 1971, and not a lot of new information. But a number of folks have told me they look forward to my monthly missives, so here we go.

Actually, I've been having a good time on some pre-reunion activities, with a Class of 1970 river cruise at the end of July (which included fellow alums Ruth Friedrich Ortiz, Kathy Glover Chapman and Patti Lee Klinke,) plus visits with Debbie Farris Winters and Alan Garren on my recent trip to Portland. If you're thinking about visiting with a former classmate, do it. It's lots of fun.

Of course, the ultimate visit will be the reunion itself (July 27-29, 2001 in case you've somehow been in a cave the last few months).

However, an opportunity for visiting will be present at the next Reunion Committee meeting on Friday, September 15 (not 16 as erroneously reported last month) at 7 PM at Calvary Lutheran Church. We might even manage to get some work done so that there'll be something substantial to report next month.

We did manage to pick up a couple more names this month, but it's really slowing down. It's my firm belief that some of these folks have moved to Mars, because we sure aren't having any luck finding them on this planet. But if you do find a lost classmates, be sure to let us know.

This is also the month for the quarterly newsletter, so be looking for that in your mailbox in the next couple of weeks.

Well, now that this month's message is off my to do list, I can move on to preparing the church budget and mowing my lawn (my neighbors will be so pleased.) See ya next month!
